HELGE OOMKES

Helge Oomkes is a Dutch native and has been part of the Indiana food and culture movement since the late 1990’s.  After a couple years of globetrotting, he helped open The United States of Mind, the birth place of Bhota Chai.

After opening and running SoBro Café for eight years, it was time to focus on getting the chai out to a larger audience.

Currently, Helge resides in Indianapolis, Indiana, with his partner Jaclyn and their two children Peytra and Zurich, and when he is not brewing chai, he is raising children, playing music, and traveling.
